The East Ridge Middle School Girls Volleyball won a victory against East Lake Academy on Wednesday, September 17th. The ERMS girls clearly won the first set and gained momentum in serves against East Lake. East Ridge dominated with help from the serves of Camille Evans, Jayda Chapman, Abri Meridal, and Hazelynn Strickland in both sets.
During the first set East Ridge took off after key serves and East Lake was not able to catch up. East Lake attempted to catch up, but East Ridge controlled the court with many of their volleys. At the start of the second set, it was closer than the first, but the East Ridge Girls pulled away and took a commanding lead thanks to their serving skills and their control of the volleys on the court.
In speaking with the Coaches after the game, Head Coach Margaret Makris said “I think we worked really hard and worked well together.” Assistant Coach Daijha Sangster stated “You communicated really well and everyone put in an equal amount of work.”
Congratulations to the East Ridge Middle School Girls on their victory. They play Lookout Valley next at Lookout Valley.
